A Ballerina's Dream

Ballet shoes slip on my feet,
They fill with desire that can't defeat.
I hold my breath and squint my nose,
The smell of feet surely blows.
Tendus, Plies, are such a bore,
Turns and leaps across the floor.
It's the same routine every day,
Yet the passion inside me grows every way.
Performance day comes along,
I hope and pray I won't be wrong.
The stage lights shine upon my face,
A ballerina's dream you can't erase.
