You and I
You live in the empty spaces of my body.
You are stuck in my teeth; a taste I cannot quite wash out.
You are the pit in my stomach until the night becomes dawn and from then on you travel up my spin and into the back of my mind.
You are the feeling I cannot seem to shake and I seem to be doing a lot of that these days.
You are embedded in my skin and it takes all I have not to shred myself into tiny, microscopic pieces.
You are nothing but the fog in the earliest of mornings; the same fog continues to suffocate me.
I am killing myself with your memory.
