Fixation
Nothing is as we wish it were
You will pretend to be perfect
Until something shatters
The rosy mold of your china lips
Would it have been worthwhile, then
To have squeezed the universe into a ball
And incinerate yourself
Melted like chocolate
Pretty forever
To perform past death
Or to live and work and wonder
Even when you lie
Imply love,
You are wishing.
You are weak,
Legs broken, with shortcomings
And some insanity
Weak with loneliness
And empty space
Empty space
You are still human.
