the wet paint drips
drips
drips
onto the canvas covered floor
oh, why did you
leave that window open?
why did you
not close the door?
why did you let my masterpiece
of fluttery things
of painted wings
acting the part of regal kings
fall into a swirling, whirling
chaos?
for now I will have no
peace
until the drips
cease
