Don't Take What's Mine
Standing with arms around me
How could I be so lucky
He took my heart to another place
I felt his love in so many ways
He was someone I'd never erase
That was until he sped our pace
He held me down, I started to cry
Please, don't take what's mine
One summer night that had no end
We went out to see our friends
We had our fun
While the night was still young
Just to go back home
And begin again
He killed my light that burned inside
Please, don't take what's mine
What seemed like a normal night
I never thought would end with fright
I asked for him to take me home
Then he got me all alone
He grabbed my arms and held me tight
It scared me how he used his might
I kicked and cried then just laid there
There was no distrust that can compare
I lost my faith, I'll no longer shine
Please, don't take what's mine
He stared at me, right through my eyes
All I saw was a soul that lies
My mind got caught and began to burn
My thoughts inside did start to turn
My body stayed there paralysed
My heart and soul became tranquillised
He opened my eyes just to describe
That he took all that was mine
