Lighting strikes, thunder so loud,
I see the rain, and I'm proud,
Of light flashing before my eyes,
Feels like that the darkness has arrived.
The drops of water keep falling down to the ground,
It rained hard that no one will be found,
Until the raindrops has slowly stopped falling.
Then water stays on trees so tall.
Later the rain begins to fall again.
Why on earth must it begin?
Because it's a natural weather,
Rain will fall whatsoever.
Summer rains are high and full of pride,
No one time should come out to shine.
Some say thunderstorms are the mean of danger,
Others say it's the mean of anger.
Well, I say that it's the mean of happiness,
Where I live with loneliness.
The water falls onto my skin.
There’s a fight between Sun and Rain.
Rain has gained the strength to win.
The white sky is my blanket of sadness,
While the raindrops is my friend of loneliness.
But I'm happy with rain as my friend,
Which will last until the day my life will end.

The author's comments:

"Rain" takes place where a person loves the rain more than people. She has no fear of thunder and lighting and also dreams to have the rain last until she dies. She's suffering from lonliness, sadness, and depression and somewhat thinking of suicide.
