Cloud 9
The drug, not me
Becomes a necessity
The high becomes a distraction
It distracts you from your attraction
The one you call your love
So blinded by the smoke
All she does is worry and hope
That you make it home okay
The trust is no longer the issue
Its the lust and the control of your own body
The control your brain can no longer maintain
Because of your state of mind
The attention decreases
The tension increases
She begins to feel alone at night
Your floating, you're flying
With your feet on the ground but your head?
somewhere else
Thinking about nobody but yourself
And maybe her. Just maybe
The drug, not me
Becomes a necessity
Whats next?
The bottles?
You know .. The Hennessy
Are you gonna be so intoxicated
That you cant hold a simple conversation
In a simple situation
Like hello
Or goodbye
Or I Love You
How will she know if you'll be okay
If you cant even remember what you do
when the alcohol finally sets in
Whats next ?
What happens when the high bores you?
When being intoxicated gets old ?
Whats next?
