Pain has a way about it
A very odd way
An extraordinarily peculiar way about it indeed
You see,
Pain hurts
Well obviously
But
Pain doesn’t just affect you
It affects all of those in contact with you
Your pain is contagious
Whether it spreads directly or indirectly
It will spread
It will spread like a wild fire
It will light up your life
And not in a desirable way
In a way that causes discomfort and struggle
And the funny not so funny thing about it is
You could’ve avoided all of it
All of the pain
Your pain
Your family’s pain
Your friend’s pain
All of it could have never even been inflicted
But you made the choice that caused the pain
Now you have to make the pain subside
You have to
You just have to
You need to make the pain go away
Because
It just isn’t right to cause all of that pain and walk away
