Train
Today I learned
that someone else has died–
It was the train tracks, this time, I think–
She didn’t flinch,
just spread her arms out
like wings–
felt the casual breeze
of impending demise
ruffle her hair and then–
just like that–Gone–
there was something about
imperfection
in the news–
something about Self-Worth–
followed by a shampoo commercial–
It’s funny how simple things–
like beauty–
get twisted by Details.
