Better to burn out than fade away.

Roses are red, violets are blue and this poem is about you.
When we met I wanted to be friends but it grew
Until I knew that I like you.
I never liked violets, never did adore brunettes,
You say the gap is too great but I do not want to have any regrets.
I want to try and see where we get.
Soon you will be far off and we will not see each other for so, so long,
Our song could be short but until the end let's enjoy and sing along
We can worry about the consequences later
I am just here, waiting to know your answer,
As confused as a bee without a flower,
As a plane without a control tower.
Dreaming this poem will turn things in my favor,
Fully aware that I am standing on a thin razor.
I suck at this peotry thing unlike you,
Believe me I know I do,
But like a fool I hope you find this poem as beautiful as I find you.
