You cruelly broke down my defenses
Leaving me helpless and alone
All the while I trusted you
My deep eyes followed you and
Foolishly thought this was it
What is love?
But to be used as a bar of soap
That when the lather stops
You throw away
There are better things
Forget you

He listens when I cry, when I'm sad
He helps me through my difficulties
He tries to understand my pain
He believes in me
That is love
