Sunset
Have you ever watched the way
  The sunlight handles the clouds?
Paints them not quite pure white,
And just shy of the froth of gold?
It takes them in its waning light
And colors their hearts with joy
  What a peaceful explosiveness
To the death of another today
  What a vibrantly white introduction
To the seduction of a starry night
Here the gold starts to deepen
The crown of light lays down to rest
  Beneath the blue tinged mountain
Now you've seen the death of day
Now wait to take in the star lights.
