Where I'm From
I am from the evening boat rides around the lake.
I am from the sailing school classes with my sisters that my dad forced us to go to.
I am from knocking on my next door neighbor’s door to play....every single day…
I am from raking leaves, picking up sticks, and trimming bushes.
I am from the days as a tomboy and later regretting every penny that went towards boyish clothes when I didn’t wear them anymore.
I am from skiing, swimming, and sailing.
I am from car rides to hockey tournaments in the winter wonderland that surrounds.
I am from rushing to football games on Friday nights after cross country meets.
I am from the lazy Sundays falling asleep at 3:00 in the afternoon to NFL football in the background.
I am now appreciating every memory I have made because it made me the person I am today.
I am now wondering where my life is going to lead to next.
All I know is - I am now exactly where I am supposed to be.
