I must've looked toward that phone
12 million times today
Waiting... waiting... waiting
Wanting... wanting... wanting
Wishing... wishing... wishing
Every single time it rang, I jumped and ran
Looked through the caller ID
Just in case I somehow missed your call
I stayed up til an ungodly hour
Knowing you wouldn't call
But still hoping
I recited your number over in my head
If I could call you, I would
But I can't
I'm still waiting
I thought you would call today
But you did not
Maybe tomorrow
