It's All You
When I was young,
I was taught it was an illness,
a condition.
I was taught it could be spread,
from one person to another.
I was taught how to prevent it,
yet I never listened.
I thought I could never get it.
I thought the world was a bright and happy place.
But now that I'm here
I know that what they taught me were true:
it exists,
it's there.
But I figured out one thing that they didn't teach us:
how to prevent it.
Because there is no medicine to cure this illness.
The only thing that can cure you
is YOU
