I Believe
I believe in chivalry, in manners and dying trends; I believe in the Southern Belle. I believe in treasuring simple gestures, firm faith, and random acts of kindness.
I believe in fate - in destiny - in the purpose of time and in the timing of purpose; I believe in a passion to pursue, in spiritual gifts, in the fairy tales of romance and soft lips.
I believe in quiet mornings and cups of coffee as a time of reflection, of hiding from the world while mentally preparing to face it. I believe in waking up - in growing up to handle the day, to take advantage of every opportunity as it comes with quiet chatter.
I believe in sunlight and rainy days; I believe in nature. I believe in Teddy Bears and goodnight kisses - in channeling your inner child, in hiding from monsters while dreaming of daylight.
I believe in the goodness of life and a child’s naivety.
I believe in love.
I believe in humanity, no matter how inhumane.
I believe in myself
even when I don’t believe.
