3 years from now,

When high school is done,

When I'm 18,

And you're 21,

We will meet again,

Sharing stories from the past,

When you'll tell me again,

Our love will last,

We will be in the city,

And start over new,

Play games from our youth,

That we never outgrew,

But the world is cruel,

And so is love,

But we can make a new story,

That is undreamed of,

Now I've wasted so much time,

Worrying about distance,

Forgetting to love your,

Timeless existence.

But you're 17,

And I'm a freshman at school,

I'll see you soon,

Although the world is cruel.

I had a boyfriend who was an exchange student from Colombia. We still keep in touch, this poem was written from the bottom of my heart and I keep telling myself that we will meet again someday. I know he will come back for me.
