it is like a kingdom
a kingdom full of bullets and knives
and I am their king
my demons are second in command
and we attack people

they range from young to old
innocent to guilty
and I can’t stop leading them

I know it is wrong
I know I need to stop and think it through
i understand that i am doing bad things

but i am high off the thrill
the thrill of the battle
anxious for the outcome
my life is a series of battles

i can not make friends with other kingdoms
in fear that they will judge me
judge me for my battle scars
and my still-open battle wounds

so here i stand
still leading my kingdom of hurt
because it is all i know how to do
