Love at First Sight
It was raining the day I met her.
It was raining the day I met him.
She looked up at me as she sat under a tree.
He looked down at me as a he stood beneath a tree.
Clouds of grey and blue swarmed in her eyes, shimmering and crashing beneath the sunset.
Like a perfect spring sky, his gentle stormy eyes held warmth and protection.
Her hair, soft beige, like the bark of an oak tree, not dark but simply gentle in any light.
His hair gave a soft reminder of the rich brown soil evident after spring rain.
Pale skin contrasting nicely with her petite body, whose body I wish to embrace.
A living work of art, every muscle sculpted to perfection, arms I wish to disappear in.
And as she stared, I gave a small smile.
And as I stared, he gave a small smile.
And in that moment, I had fallen.
Too deep to pick myself up.
And that’s our story, love at first sight.
