Maybe Next Time
Maybe next time is a term used too often.
A term known all too well.
But, when we say this term
does anyone ever mean it?
This term is like an athlete threatening
a coach to quit.
No one actual means what they say.
The big issue is that no one is honest.
How can someone be deemed
trustworthy when they can’t fulfill a simple task.
Every time we are presented
with an opportunity we give this simple answer,
maybe next time.
When do you think it is time
for us to start to mean what we say?
