yourself
cry about the
bitter, bare,
repulsive men.
let out the anger,
the sadness,
the regret,
the shame,
the love you
tried to give them,
but they wouldn’t take
because people
rarely do.
cry about the loss
you feel without them,
the aloneness you
can’t ever shake,
the fact that
your life depends
on what they
think of you,
if you can catch their
eye or not,
if you can please them.
what about you?
can you catch yourself?
can you please yourself?
can you even love yourself?
