Eros's Army
THWACK
My head penetrates
the tender façade of my victims,
silently lulling the innocent under my spell.
With nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, love always wins.
His archery; how marvelous is his marksmanship.
I chase those chosen by this child.
My brothers and I, are the arsenal
in the army of affection,
messengers for our master,
like Christ’s apostles.
THWACK
Yet we feel
THWACK
like nothing more
THWACK
than a hunter’s weapon.
THWACK
