Grandma
She loved the nights out with family
She would always ask to go out to Applebee's.
She loved it
She absolutely loved it.
She loved talking to us
She loved watching her grandchildren grow over the years.
Grandma lived many years.
A good 90 years.
The years she lived were well spent.
She loved family, money, food.
In that order.
Though she became delirious
towards the end,
I could still tell she loved us.
She acted as if she didn’t
but that was her old age showing.
The day that infection got her leg.
My family got an infection in our heart.
She needed her leg to be amputated
the black hole
created from this catastrophe
could only be filled with more sorrow
which was agitating
About 3 months later
A Heartbreak
