It's My Fault
Lights are flashing
Glass is crashing
Am I dead, or alive?
They whisper, "She won't survive."
Body is lifted
Reality shifted
On a stretcher getting rushed away
So many unsaid words I wanted to say
It's my fault
My alcohol tolerance was way too high
I caused innoncent souls to die
Drinking
Lost judgement and thinking
The light is coming, I know it is
Nobody in my state ever lives
I'm the cause of all this damage
It's my fault
People's voices surround my mind
White light making me blind
Nostrils filled with sanitary smell
Am I going to Heaven or Hell?
I see my lifeless body laying there
Skin dripping in blood that was once so fair
My auburn hair caked in leaking red
Pooling out of my busted head
Everyone frantically running around, trying to save my life
They do not know I've walked towards the light
It's my fault
My parents; they rush in
Drop to the floor weeping from my sin
I've torn too many lives apart
It's my turn to depart
The pain is gone and my heartbeat fades
There's nothing they can do, I can't be saved
It's my fault I know it is
I don't deserve to live
All of a sudden darkness confides
I know I am gone for I have died
It's my fault
I can hear voices once again
Where am I? Where have I been?
"She's awake!" They scream of joy and delight
Memories flood back from that awful night
Here comes the sanitary smell
I should have died that night, for my reality is worse than hell.
