Candle
Like a candle that has a flame
that lightens up the whole room
But the candle can't see its fame
On the inside there is gloom
Or a lantern that makes the room bright
Inside it is as dark as shadow
A big difference in the night
Though the inside is so low
You are glowing
Shining up the room
But inside you only see doom
You are bright
but how can you tell
We have to get a mirror
Capture the light and bring it nearer
Show you the glow that you have
The brightness that you bring
For when you see your brightness
And you know how you shine
It should raise your confidence
That you say is 'just fine'
How we hate to see your tears
And the gloom deep within
Because to us you show all cheers
And don't let darkness in
We have to get a mirror
Capture the light and make it clear
Show you that light that you cast
The brightness that should forever last
You are glowing
Shining up the room
But inside you only see doom
You are so bright
But, oh, how can you tell
For when you see your brightness
It should raise your confidence
To know you are like a flame
Your story is just the same
