Envious Time is Fleeing
There was once an immortal man named Achilles.
He was in the Trojan War…
Seeing as that he was Greek,
He was on the Greek’s side of the war.
The Greeks were given what was thought to be a gift
From the Trojans to say they wanted peace.
But the Trojans had a different plan. . .
They killed many of the Greeks, including just ordinary citizens.
Although Achilles was thought to be immortal,
It turns out that even the mightiest of the might,
And the fiercest of the fierce have weaknesses too.
He was shot in the heel.
As he was slowly bleeding to death.
His wife came up to him.
Crying, Alexandra mentioned that they have
two sons and a daughter; that he couldn’t die.
He has to father their children;
That their children will never know
Who their father is if he dies. He said in Latin…
“Carpe Diem,” (seize the day)...
“But never forget me.”
Then he passed.
