but you can’t be barefoot.

even played with a special..brown..ball.
Played in high school, college, and even professional,
but can only be played seasonal.
You get, cleats, helmet, and shoulderpads,
having a great time with all your comrades.
You have off season, preseason, season, and playoffs,
so take off and win..all..games.
In the offseason you workout,
so go all-out to get better.
In the preseason it's to get you ready,
and keep you steady for the season.
In the season, all the games count,
so account for what you need.
If you have a great record,
don’t get bored yet, half the season is almost over.
Now comes the playoffs,
where everything matters.
You win, you move on.
You lose, and you’re done.
This is what you’ve been waiting for.
The chance to play against the best teams around.
Both teams want to advance,
but it's whatever team wants it more.
You have to be stronger,
you have to be faster.
You have to be smarter,
You have to have all three parts but better.
eight teams in each side,
four teams will  lose but have tried.
Then four remain on each side,
but the two teams that lost will hide.
Then two remain in each side,
making it all the way to the Semi-final ride with pride.
After the two tough games,
two teams will fill with shame.
Then comes the State-final game,
where the best two teams compete.
This game is what all teams shoot for,
but only two teams a year,
and one game a year.
Each team has one aim,
to win the one..final..game.
It will be tough,
it will be rough,
but..it’s the best game of the year.
Thousands of people will be there,
they will stare at the flare of the game,
they will share the prayer to all players,
they will dare to swear on bad calls,
but in the end,
they will sit the the chair and glare.
Now comes the fun part,
the game can start,
and be played with heart.
After the long struggle between the two teams,
one team has a fulfilled dream.
One team has emerged the winner,
while the other team was dinner.
Both teams played great,
but only one team can have the win on their plate.
After the game,
each team now has completed their season.
The seniors go on to college or their plan for life,
the juniors step up to the challenge,
the sophomores are right around the corner,
and the freshman are raring to go. 
All ready to have another 14-game season all over again,
and to be proved champions once again.
