And Then the Truth Comes Crashing Down
I don't think I'll admit it
That I am actually shy
I look people in the face
And lie right to their eye
I feel like dirt
So walked upon
And yet I am rich
Blessed with the fact
That I speak publicly
When I see people I know and I am flustered
I turn and flee
To a quiet place that I may breathe
Because of my claustrophobia
I panic for large groups
For the thoughts reach my mind
Upon each eye laid
Their judgements pass by
I hide in corners
I avoid your eyes
And I must say
That I am sorry for my lie
Will all be forgiven
Or shall I live
In the darkness of solitude
That dances with me as my friend
