Fall Time
Crispness in the air,
freshness on my face.
The yard on fire
with brilliant oranges and yellows like the sun.
The winds gust, the leaves dance.
Raking a pile for my sisters to enjoy, and
The roads illuminated from jack-o-lanterns.
trick or treaters at our door
Candy bags
bursting at their seams,
children’s faces
grinning from ear to ear.
My family’s tradition of apple picking.
The warm aroma of homemade apple pie
fills the the kitchen’s air.
The scent of pumpkin spice
is my house in fall.
The air is becomes brisk and the nights come faster.
The fire crackling like popcorn,
warming my whole body.
Rosy cheeks,
pale skin.
Crispness in the air,
freshness on my face.
