Nonsense
The world is full of nonsense.
My head is pulled in every which way.
Every cat has a large grin..
All flowers smile and speak to me.
White rabbits run around in waistcoats with pocket watches.
"Its all in your head, girl"
My mother rolls her eyes.
She does not believe me.
I am not crazy,
I have a colorful imagination.
Is that so very wrong for a child?
I run through the stream,
And sit against a log with flowers all around.
I sit and weave crowns of flowers,
Placing them on my head before laying it against the tree.
I enter my dream life,
Where everything is not so terrible,
But simply…
Nonsensical.
They tell me how I can join them,
Both awake and asleep.
When I awake, I run to my mother,
Telling her of the wonderful news.
My mother rolls her eyes.
She does not believe me.
I am not crazy,
I have a colorful imagination.
Is that so very wrong for a child?
And now I prepare myself.
I will leave without my mother,
For she does not believe me.
I am ready to go see this world that appeared in my dreams.
This world
Of Nonsense.
