Ode to Rain
Thunder encompasses
Lightning descends
Some say the light is a trick from worlds end
However the rain
The rain, beautiful, falls
Drizzling
Down
Deep, deep
Into
Cracks
Of angry concrete
Welling up now with tears
Rain scoops the dirt and debris
From the war zone
Where droplets
Are fired
Down
Like bullets
Ricocheting off walls and steady
Soft
Silences
Silvery clear
Glistening and rippling
Coming from the sky
Rain,
Weather of wet
Whether you hide
Staying warm inside
Or
You breathe
The earths dew soaked smell
And you feel the tiny sting
Of thousands of pin pointed pricks
Listen to rain
Gentle lullabies
Of heart felt sunsets of cool iridescent darkness
Rain,
Unwelcome,
Harbors life
