Carry On
Grey sky looms over me,
Casting its shadow over the land
I can feel the weight of the rain pressing on me
And leaving me sodden
I trudge and slosh through the muddy ground
My feet are lead
My head is a boulder
My eyes are stretched elastic,
But my heart is a feather
My heart fills me with life
And with courage
I can feel my strength,
Though very little,
Coursing through my veins
Though my eyes are red
And my clothes are torn,
I will not back down
I will carry my flag,
For it is what makes me so strong
And so willing to walk forward
