Whatever It Is
It is not foreseeable, and yet remains
unchangeable; a friend and a lover,
a lost idea. It has driven me
to polarity, which is worse than indifference;
it has driven me to unpleasantness.
It has driven me to poor posture
and an awkward gait. It has led me
to being unsure about almost everything.
It has led me to being unsure
about what to do next.
