Years
8 years old.
I saw my mom cry in a closet
Dad had left with no goodbye or a kiss on the cheek
That was the day a flame was placed within
9 years old.
Dad was happy with someone else
Some new siblings
A new family
Two different homes
10 years old
I looked up to my older sister for answers
But
She looked down at me with questions
I supposed he did not care
I was hurt
12 years old.
Dad moved to Tampa
We saw him less and less
I wanted his attention
So I was bad
You still had no clue
And my flame still burns for you.
