A Hipster in Starbucks
He sips coffee
from a mason jar,
and taps at the cracked screen
of his Macbook Pro.
He leans back in his chair-
As though his scarf from
Urban Outfitters
isn’t choking him.
Though it doesn't show
(well, it does, but he thinks it’s subtle),
he is deluded by his fake superiority
as I skim People and he reads Great Expectations.
He doesn’t stop to think
that while I have not read Charles Dickens,
he barely impresses me;
In fact, none of us are.
