Is Winter Coming

Floating softly on the cool breeze
white crystals glistening in the evening light
as they fall gently toward the ground.
The frigid winds nipping at my nose and ears,
thick layers of protective lining
the cozy embrace of a puffy jacket.
I daydream while gazing deep into my snowglobe.
Yet when I glance toward the window,
this mid November day
all I see is a cold, lifeless, wasteland.
