Distant Friends
Snow tumbles down around me and glistens in the frosty air
I can’t help but wonder how it is for my friends across the world
We don’t get to see each other
And our only source of communication is a text, every now and then
Sometimes I dream about reuniting with them.
I wish to someday laugh with them
To hang out, to joke around
But, this won’t happen in the near future
And until then, I enjoy our conversations and wait
Until that fateful day, that we can spend time together.

I have friends that I can only communicate with through my phone and want to meet them. This was also a gift to them.
