Left Behind
Two lonely people, staying side by side
Sitting in a dark street, on an abandoned bus.
Cobwebs hung around them
And dust permeated the frozen air.
The first had long, golden locks,
that illuminated in the moonlight.
The second was captivated by her fair, flaxen hair.
And couldn’t stop staring at the one they loved.
But the train was full of crickets that chirped on.
Tears began trickling from her lovely, azure eyes,
As she exited the ancient, faded bus for the last time.
The other wondered why she was leaving the bus alone.
Why she hadn’t noticed her companion next to her.
The girl gazed back at the abandoned vehicle,
That on one fateful day,
Had taken away the life of her lover.
