Buoyant Bliss
Mile marker eight.
A place of relaxation, rays, and rapture.
The lake unwinds you.
It unravels your tangled wad of worries,
and leaves you with a sweet, luminous feeling.
Walking down the lego-like stone passageway
with your best friends by your side,
it brings you to a bliss.
Rolling summer lake waves,
salty crisp air,
and that blazing 2 o’clock sun.
To the long days of blasting Zac Brown Band on the boat,
laughing with the world's finest friends
while sipping ice-cold pink lemonade together,
soaking in every ounce of UV ray possible.
To the long nights of dancing on the old creaking wooden dock,
still blasting Zac Brown Band
to lift us to jump—
jump into the dark,
bottomless,
refreshing lake water.
Nothing compares to that mile marker—
a paradise that solves my stresses like a rubix cube.
No concerns,
no responsibilities,
no problem.

I was inspired to write this piece because we were told to think about something of our childhood that brings back warm memorites, and everything seem to pointed to the Lake of the Ozarks for me.
