The leaves start to change color
The weather starts to get colder
White snow flickers in the air
I start thinking of the winter gear

The trees are bare
The white snow is everywhere
The snow shovels start to reappear
Joy rises in me knowing winter is here

The winter season has arrived
The hand warmers are much needed
School snow days are being used
That only means more time to enjoy the weather

The fun of winter warms my heart
But the months fly by in the blink of an eye
The colder weather comes to close
And I watch the winter snow disappear
