An empty promise,
held by a friend.
They said they'd wait,
until the very end.
But they left you in the cold.
Never to trust again.
They said they'd stand by you,
but they didn't do it even when,
You stood by them.
Gave them your trust.
Stood by their side.
And now they left you in the cold.
Never to love again.
