The Kiss
As he kissed me
The only thought in my head
Was to forget everything.
He took my pain away
While I kept him company.
He helped me feel such little emotion
While I kept him satisfied.
He held me while I laid
Crying at night wanting to
Give up on life.
He gave me so much yet so little
While I gave him amity.
When the time came
We said our goodbyes
As he walked through the elevator doors.
I could see him forgetting about me
While walking through the hallway.
So, like every other relatable story, he moved on
But I'm still waiting.
