He will call you pretty.
That six letter word, before meaning nothing
will now be the sound that creates life inside of you
where you thought you were once dead.
Next, he will spend time with you.
More time than anybody else has ever bothered to spend with you,
and you will feel special.
Then, he will kiss his ex.
Then, he will date another girl.
Then, he will ask you to cover the hickey.
Then, he will call you pretty once more.
And you will stay.
