School
Upon a hill sits a school. This school is made of brick and stone. Within its walls is a horrible environment; bullies, thieves, and liars operate here. Moving in ever so nearer, soon a healthy learning environment will be just a dream. School will be a synonym for jail, and students will be forced to fail. Because outside its walls are locked doors and windows so you can't escape, and inside its walls they steal your freedom, they degrade you, and they force you to believe it's always your fault, never theirs. School will be a synonym for jail, because soon it will be that, within their walls, you won't be treated as human. You will be treated, as just another test score.

I was inspired to write this poem because of how I feel school is today, and if it continues on this path how it will be even worse in the future.
