Memories
Some are sweet, like a spring blossom
Some are tragic, so dramatic
Some are terrifying, making you question if nightmares are real
Some are regretful, tormenting you from the inside
A few makes you smile
Fewer yet makes you laugh
But most are unpleasant to think about
There are much of we wish to forget
Yet they make up who we are
Yet they determine your actions
Yet they guide your actions
Yet they are precious
Memories, they don't exist
Memories, they are only in your head
Memories, they are of the past...
But memories,
Non-existent as they are,
Only in your mind,
Mere specks of the past
Are something that is so powerful
It distorts the future
