The Here and Now
sent through time
days years centuries
in only wanting you
our love was played like a game of hearts
we started out cautious
playing it safe
but as time passed
the adventures became longer
we faced danger deceit the unknown
we traveled far from home
but still not as far as I have come
we left our mark along the coast
footprints in the sand
to try to mend what had later broke
and after that
after everything that happened
we learned to shoot for the moon.
