A Prayer Of A Refugee
We don’t want to see you go away from us
You decided to run away.
The moon taunts us with its red glare,
The symbol of your departure, the broken keys you left there.
Only you can give us the reason
To relay the events that partook in your treason
Disloyalty to your king, betrayal to your countrymen.
Disbanding your guilds, covering up your every mistake
Noticing you gone the next day, to some faraway place.
Beholding your secrets against you, for some higher conspiracy.
No one knew the truth, that wasn’t brought to life.
In time we thought, you would stop this nonsense.
We believe you would return.
To our kingdom at last.
We were going to forgive you, regardless of what you’ve done,
We never realized it was for our own good.
Mom we love you, we miss you, please come back to us.
But alas, not much could comfort the tears of a child.
Nor the prayers of a refugee.
