Running Away
When you run away,
Your lungs burn,
They thirst for air,
You feel the heat of the red,
You hear the screams of your fellow people,
You want to get far away,
To be sheltered from the end,
You just want to crawl to sleep,
And not remeber this,
But you cannot,
You run as fast as you can,
So the flame cannot reach,
When you reach your destination you fall to the ground,
Of the lake's edge,
And you remember all of the horrors you just saw,
Moments Ago,
You saw your home destroyed, your friends gone,
And now your lying on the soft sand alone,
And Crying.
Everything was demolished from the burning heat of an uncontrollable forest fire.
Life as you know it is gone.
