I stand at the shore,
With hope in my eyes.
Waiting for you.
Everyday I wade deeper into the water,
Waiting to meet your
Eyes once more.
And on days I start to lose hope,
I look into the skies and remember His promise. And the color of the ocean reassures me
that you’re worth the waiting so I stand here with a patient heart, and arms open wide.
Awaiting your arrival.
Awaiting the day we can hold each other again,
For years I’ll stand here.
But for now all I can see is an endless open ocean
And a
fading
dream.
