By The Sea
Feet in the sweltering hot sand
Unfolding my sling in the water
The arctic cold water splashing up on my face
It felt like little ice cubes striking my bright red cheeks
Diving in and the feeling of freshness shock your body
Laid down with my eyes glued shut
Right before the sun baked them
Wishing for it all to stay one more day

This poem was inspired by my trip to Old Orchard Beach Maine.
